Silent Film Project
The very first movies were silent films. A silent film is a film with no synchronized recorded sound, especially with no spoken dialogue. In silent films, the story is told through gestures, mime and title cards (Wikipedia). In other words, they relied on action to tell the story. Over time silent movies would use “cards” between the scenes. These cards helped to tell the story of what was happening on the screen.
